A sensible way would be to make a bridge, so that there's no alien API at all, and one just sends/receives messages.

Yeah, design-wise a bridge makes more sense. I am assuming that you would need something like XCOM to even bridge TO from Objective-C. I wonder if he is interested in DCOM as well, or just COM?

Nevertheless, is there any reason at all to do such thing?

If you wanted to keep up with the joneses (or stay behind with the gates - I can never keep it straight) I would think an Objective-C front-end for the mono implementation of .NET would be more useful.
