Best way to do multimedia app

Howdie all,

All day I was trying to think a best way to do multimedia app. I want to do app that let's insert images/movies/text into NSView and ofcourse save/open them, but I can't think how. Adding images/movies/text to view i guess is easy, but saving all this! Anybody has expirience in doing such a thing?
