I'm having a helluva time trying to figure out how to get a horizontal scrollbar to show up in my NSView subclass.

This is pretty basic stuff that is covered in the books currently available. Basically, the NSView gets nested in the NSScrollView. Interface Builder has a menu option to make it easy for us Layout->Make Subviews Of -> Scroll View.

As for the books, I like 'Building Cocoa Applications' and 'Cocoa Programming'.
