Waking from Sleep?

  • Subject: Waking from Sleep?

I know this has been discussed before, but I was wondering if anything's
changed since Jaguar.

The questions: Is it possible to programmatically wake a Mac from full
sleep? If so, how?

What sparked this question is an email from a third party. In his email, it
says:
"The G4 hardware manual says that the Power Management chip is awake during
full sleep."

AFAIK, the PM chip works with PCI slots, cutting excess power to them when
the computer goes to sleep. It is open for calls right when the cpu goes to
sleep, so it may have some sort of timer function.

TIA,
