Hi,
I have just tried and I was able to set rwxrwxrwx file permissions
using the
FSSetCatalogInfo call. Why do you say that I can't? Maybe sometimes in
some
conditions I can't?
This is based on what I was seeing in 10.1.0/1.
I was using the same call as you and I was not getting the appropriate
file permissions. Since I stopped using this API and switched to
chmod/chwon APIs, I don't know if this has been fixed or not or whether
I was doing something wrong or not. But IIRC the answer was that the
User mask was the culprit.
I just tried to set the permissions to 0x777 on a 10.1.5 OS X Client
machine and I still get the problem.
The file permission is set to 0x775.
