Somewhere between installing Jaguar and now, I have lost a bunch of my
classic Unix internet tools like ping and ifconfig. I searched the
hard drive for them to see if perhaps my path variable is messed up (I
have edited my path variable), but did not have any luck.
Where should these be located on my hard drive? Has anyone else lost
these?
Those are both in /sbin. Maybe it's a PATH issue?
# echo $PATH
/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/pgsql/bin:/
Users/alex/bin
# which ping
/sbin/ping
# which ifconfig
/sbin/ifconfig
