The tools that you mentioned can be found on the Mac OS X Install Disc
1. Just copy them to the appropriate location on your hard drive.
If you need to reinstall some tools that are not sitting in the CD's
directory structure but are instead in the install packages, you can
extract the files from the packages using my app, Pacifist, available
here.

Hope that helps,

This is OT, but this is the most knowledgeable group of Mac OS X

Somewhere between installing Jaguar and now, I have lost a bunch of my
classic Unix internet tools like ping and ifconfig. I searched the
hard drive for them to see if perhaps my path variable is messed up (I
have edited my path variable), but did not have any luck.
Where should these be located on my hard drive? Has anyone else lost
these?
Thanks...
Jeff
