Ok,
I have to apologise.
I was having a bad day, and massively overreacted to a personal attack (I
should have known better!)

1. I am not american (thanks for proving that everyone makes assumptions
and generalisations), I'm Irish
2. I would like to apologise for any hurt caused by my insensitive remarks
and bad language
3. My German is very bad... At least I tried where others didn't bother to
learn (No excuse, I was there for 12months I should have a better grasp) My
French is as bad ;-) But then my Irish and my English are reasonable
4. I still contend that if you invite ALL developers to join in a computer
language forum, then you should at least point out the fact that it is not
in the language of computers. How would you like it if I posted to the
entire list, pointing you to an Irish language site, and say I wanted all
developers to join up...
5. What I was trying to say in German was : As it happens I worked in
German a few years back (My translation was funny! hee hee), My German is
not very good, but I feel that my attempts could be understood. --
Obviously I was wrong, and I will not make such a silly assumption again
(Altavista would have provided a much better translation!)

John.
