In my lack of knowledge, please allow me to ask this question! If
Object-C is "the" language, then why is no one using it? (compared to
java, c, c++ - object-c is not used in large numbers)
Marketing. Sun has been marketing the hell out of Java since '95? or
so. They have always said in the marketing it will be as fast as C++
Real Soon Now but it isn't.
What that tells me is that Object-C is only alive because of Apple!
And Apple seams to abandon it in favor for Java.
Seems that was a misinterpretation of the job req that was posted. When
you consider the amount of ObjC-Cocoa apps that Apple is creating
itself, it's clear they are not abandoning it.
