Yann Bizeul meinte doch tatsdchlich:

That works perfectly !!!

Thanks to you, I'm writing an app to display log files on the background (it's called GeekTool ;-))
I write it because I do not want to pay DesktopConsole, but I will not release it unitil I have more features (i.e. shell commands logging).
It will be opensource

i was wondering if anybody would be willing to modify "spy"

http://www.zitter.net/osx/spy/index.html

in such a way that it

1) allows you to select which log to monitor
2) is a borderless, semitransparent, clickthrough window
which pops up above all other windows (a la liteswitch)
3) user-configurable, of course :)
4) honors os x ui guidelines (menus and such)

that would rock for those of us who'd like to actually *see* what's going on in the console. ;)

the source for this app is included in the download...
