PS. Incidentally, you ask to provide code. I did. The code used is
RaiseMan. It's online at Aaron's site. The only addition was already
posted.
Perhaps you can provide an exact URL, since I can't seem to find it.
(Aaron, there should be a Download link on the book page... if there
is, I can't find it.. )
Also... using the methodology that you've used, you're doing 4 times
as many searches for objects as necessary in the deletion because
you're using 4 times as many rows.
And, as I've said, deletion in a background thread would be an option
if deletion is what you're seriously concerned about.
And still, deleting 40,000 items in the manner you are, isn't the same
method that would be used to switch to another view or close a
tableview.
