I defer to the HIG.
Furthermore, most of the binaries downloaded from Apple's website are
in .dmg.gz or just plain .dmg format. I'd rather open up Disk Copy
than StuffIt Expander, partially due to the former's
not-being-shareware and partially because I've a lot more love for
Apple than for Aladdin. (StuffIt still seems to mangle gzips now and
again, too, forcing me to use gunzip.) Ignore that gunzip, gnutar, etc
etc exist for now, though: the simplest way to extract archives is
still just clicking on them a bunch of times. And I'd rather users not
have to see StuffIt Expander's "Hey, you want to register, don't ya?
Don't ya? Don't ya?" alert. That's just bad form.
