Is there known funkiness with 10.2 tools' PB and displaying your app icon?
I have this weird behavior when if I call my shareware app's icon dna.icns
and do the relevant pblist change the icon doesn't display correctly on
launch. And it isn't correct in the Finder either. And yes I have a unique
registered signature that I'm using DaNA. Type is APPL. Experimenting I
tried IconComposer files dna2.icns and dna3.icns . Nothing worked. Then
last night when I changed the name to perry.icns it started appearing in the
dock on launch. But in the Finder it still isn't write but I can change
that one by hand for now. And yes I cleaned all targets and even deleted my
build folder as I went through these iterations. Just checking to see if
there is something else to do in PB to fix this that anyone knows about?
And I grep-ed -r in the directories and could see times when I changed the
name that things would be wrong in the entries kept. Changing it from
dna.icns to dna2.icns things weren't right internally. So there may be a
bug where if the name is close to the prior one it doesn't match completely.
So my use of names with only a 4th character change between pblist PB
iterations exposed it. And the suffix issue of where you name it .icns and
where it makes the name that way for you I'm not even going to get into that
-- but maybe this is the cause of the character matching bug that seems to
be in there somewhere. It is a Cocoa app.
Thanks,
