Launch App with drag and drop

Several months ago, I ran into an example/demonstration of drag and
drop code to launch an app. (e.g. drop a file onto an app icon in
order to open the app with that document.) I thought that the example
was called DropThing, but a Google search doesn't get me to it. Does
anyone know where I can find it.
