All this talk of Smalltalk and such is fine and dandy, but it helps me
not in the least, or anyone else here who is trying to do COCOA. Sorry
for being snippety, I do thank you for responding to my question, but
if I'm having trouble with something that's is supposed to be easy in
Cocoa, pointing me as much more esoteric stuff is not likely to do me
much good. If I understand what you guys are hinting at, and all the
docs and books, et cetera have to say on the subject--a big IF, given
my sorry state of understanding--then the idea of having separate
controllers for Model and View, or what might be called MCCV, is a
myth. All I can do is use notifications and delegates to the max and
whatever still ends up where it should not belong is an "exception that
proves the rule?" But I got to ask: if it isn't doable, why is the
idea mentioned in so many places?
