Like that conspiracy theory on why it is impossible to keep column

You know, I generally agree with you, but this way of argument reminds me
of one very old and not particularly bright joke: did you hear about the
Russian and American engineer who discussed something, and American asked
"Hey, how much you get paid for a hour's work?" The Russian kept silent
for a moment, then said "But we don't hang niggers!".
Conspiracy or not, the Cocoa text d&d *is* lousy -- better if there would
not be one at all.
Whilst the fix would be, at least for Apple who have sources, *extremely*
simple:
- make the delay user-settable from 0 to an hour, *AND*
- use the switching cursor idea Dennis written about.
Hell, I guess I'll try to do that in a next OCSmartHacks release... or
perhaps Mike might in TextExtras? Mike?
