Personally, it threw me for a loop the first time I went to OSX's PB; OS9
behaved the way Carbon does now. And, because programmers don't make
mistakes, we wouldn't need number 2. ;)
As it is a matter of preference, there should be a preference for it.
Consistency. That's a good enough reason for Apple to act on this one.
