Is there a freely available copy of the API for the Objective-C EOF?
I was interested by the message thread a little while ago that
seemed to make the EOF look fantastic, but I think I'm not 'getting
it'.
Or do I have to pay just to see the documentation?
Apple still has the EOF 4.5 documentation online in PDF form with the
legacy WebObjects 4.5 documentation here:
<
http://developer.apple.com/techpubs/webobjects/WebObjects_4.5/webobjects.html>
Within that, the EOF 4.5 Developer's Guide has a lot of good
introductory material on how to use EOF. (Note that the site above
includes both Java and Objective-C documentation.)
If you're looking for sort orderings and qualifiers, my Open Source
BDControl framework has them.

If you read some of the EOF 4.5 documentation and you like what you
see, please file a bug in RADAR <
http://bugreport.apple.com/> and let
Apple know that you'd like to use EOF with Cocoa on Mac OS X and what
you'd like to use it for (with as much business detail as possible).
This will help make a business case to Apple management to bring it
back.
