ObjectWare repository -- Re: [ANN] CHColorMapControl

As I said initially...

Softrak is a prime location for this, and already has this capability now.

The need for a full 'repository' is less than in the case of the MiscKit. It provided base classes that many other objects needed to build upon.

Now that we have some excellent base classes for Strings and other values, smaller, individually maintained kits are much easier to manage, and more decentralized. It doesn't rely on a single person to get the framework released.

There are 23 items in Softrak as 'objectware', and another 43 as source code (which in many cases are more objectware)..

I hope to get Softrak 2.0 online by the end of the year... it largely depends on the job search and how much effort needs to be expended on that rather than Stepwise efforts.

Would those interested in this (those that have posted or anyone else) email
me off-list to discuss what would be required of such a thing? I was never
familiar with the PowerPlant repository.

Scott, Dan... If you want to work with me on this - or if you already have
something going - let me know.
