Hi - In the spirit of releasing early & often, not to mention the spirit of free time over a long weekend, I'd like to announce a new web resource for Cocoa / Mac OS X developers:

CodeSearch:
http://disco.ucsd.edu/CodeSearch/

It is a very simple search for now. It indexes source code and documentation files for the following projects: (thanks to those who volunteered & agreed to have their code indexed.)

Fire: http://sourceforge.net/projects/fire/ (Eric Peyton & Others)
HXD for Mac OS X: http://osx.hotlinex.org/ (Finlay Dobbie)
ChangeDesktop: http://classicalguitar.net/brian/software/changedesktop/ (Brian Bergstrand)
monolingual, swapcop, transposon & AmIAScreenSaverOrNot: http://homepage.mac.com/jschrier/ (Joshua Schrier)
Strain Simulator, Blow-Up Visualizer & The SMea Kit: http://math.wisc.edu/~jdavis/software/ (Joshua Davis)
WebGrabber: http://www.epicware.com/webgrabber.html (Eric Peyton & ?)

Currently the site allows you to limit your search to code, headers, documentation, or search through everything. Otherwise, it's pretty basic.

I am very receptive to offers of help if anyone feels it is worth improving.

Enjoy, and direct comments to this address - email@hidden

-Mike

PS, In order to not flood the list, further discussion of this can be done on my weblog: http://radio.weblogs.com/0101358 Thanks!
