I guess it was a very reasonable idea expressed by a wrong way. *Presumed*
you want Finder to do something, it's quite right to AppleScript.

Though, if you *want to mount a filesystem*, there is hardly a worse way to do that than asking Finder. There should be a much lower-level service to do this (BSD level, Cocoa-wise NSWorkspace level probably), so that it works properly whatever filemanager one uses!

This using Finder for things which have absolutely nothing to do with it is very OS9ish and very, very stupid :(((
