There used to be a great documentation for both flex and bison
distributed as part of Mac OS X Server 1
(/System/Documentation/Developer/Commands/bison and .../flex). Hell
knows why it disappeared :(
Anyway, it should be obtainable through Internet (since I still
happily use the ones from my Mac OS X Server 1 distribution, I never
bothered to check). If the worst comes to the worst, try man pages....
One more question, how does flex fit into the picture? Is its a lex
util/
something similiar/something completely different?
Originally there was lex and yacc. Those GNU versions we got -- which
are,
incidentally, extended and more featured -- are called flex and bison.
