There are many things that can potentially get stored in your
preferences, by many different parts of the system. Don't worry about it,
that's the way it's supposed to work. Unless you already had some preference
item with "com.apple.soundmgr._DV Sound Output Settings" as a key, this
shouldn't be a problem for you (and if you do have an item with such a key,
you've got bigger problems).
