For those of you who have been looking for an affordable embedded db
option, OpenBase might provide an answer:

They've now created a flexible and afforable embedded db option, starting
at $349 USD / ann. (See the news announcement, top right-hand corner).
... and, no, I don't work for them or receive any compensation for
