In my brief experience with Cocoa I've found the best way to search the
documentation
is via the 'Search' box in the ADC toolbar at, for instance,
http://developer.apple.com/.
I hadn't "discovered" this until after a month.

The reason I mention this to such a wide audience is the possibility
that others like
myself have overlooked this most valuable tool when it was right in
front of us.
