non-trivial Cocoa applescript calls?

I'm trying to convert NSArrays and NSDictionary(s) into AppleEventDescriptors s.t. I can make some XML-RPC calls using Apple's built-in XML-RPC. Are there any examples out there? (The Developer's Kit includes a Carbon XML-RPC example but the parameter list is pretty trivial)
