I dont' think you need to do this. I think promise files are for files that don't exist when the drag begins.

I'm doing it this way because I want to perform the file copy using my own method, rather than having it done by a pasteboard.

My understanding (and I admit I could be confused about this) is that I can use this method to promise the files, and then create them in the drag destination by whatever means I want.

If I am wrong about this, can someone set me straight?
