What type of "thing" do I want?

Gang,

I need to develop a 3program2 in cocoa that has no menu bar and no dock
presence but can still use windows for UI. Ideally it9d be double-clickable
in the finder to launch and/or be launchable via login items...

What type of thing do I want to develop? Not an app, as it has a menu bar
and is in the dock. Not a tool as it can have no UI (according to the docs
I9ve seen, at least). Are bundles executable? What other kinds of things
are there that I can develop to suit my needs?

Thx,
Ando
