is there anyway for an object to find out which objects are retaining it? or is that something extra that would need implementing?

(q reiteration/retry:)

from an object's point of view and it's retain count, are there already existing accessible references somewhere which point to the various objects that are doing the retaining, to know which object(s)? or not?

i'm guessing there probably isn't, and you'd need to put this in yourself if required. - just want to check it isn't already part of the system though.

thanks.
