NSQuickDrawViews bigger than the main screen

Has anyone run into a problem using NSQuickDrawViews, where
the GrafPort that the QDView creates is only as big as the main
screen? The result is that on 2-screen systems, where the second
screen is larger than the primary (or if the user stretches a
view across two screens), parts of the view render blank.
This seems like a pretty basic bug. Workarounds?
