In many programs out right now, iChat to note one, the table views

imagine you all know what I am talking about? Well, here, I am just
going to ask it: How do you get those pretty colored table views?
There is an excellent example of the code for striped tables in Dan
Wood's TableTester tutorial at http://www.gigliwood.com/tabletester/

Joar's post as well as this link to tabletester are good ones. You
might also try looking at this
<
http://www.cocoadev.com/index.pl?AlternatingRowColors> discussion over
at CocoaDev.com. It mentions the code that Joar posted as well as some
of the other problems in getting good alternating row colors.
Specifically it talks about problems with getting the grid lines to
draw properly (tabletester's don't draw properly). I posted a solution
to that last week but they had database problems over the weekend and
it looks like it was lost, so I'm going to post it again on Monday.
