Newbie question

  • Subject: Newbie question
  • From: Oliver Donald <email@hidden>
  • Date: Fri, 11 Apr 2003 16:38:43 +0100

Ok, this is the newbiest question ever to appear on this list, especially
seeing as I have been succesfully programming Obj-C for almost a year
now...but...Under what conditions are the reference-counts of objects
increased? Is it *only* when the object is sent a 'retain' message?

THanks,
Oli

PS apologies if this appears in html...its our company exchange server's
fault
