Isn4t there the Option in IB to check compatibility with previous
versions?
Try that. It4s @ IB/File/Compatibility Checking... (Well at least in the
Dec. 2001 Dev Tools)

What does it say in the Console when the application crashes? It's most
likely that you used some object or called some method that only exists
