The date (April 15) and the unwillingness to take electronic copies do seem
a little short-sighted. But I noticed the physical copies requirement when I
first looked at the awards rules the day they put the site up. It wasn't
exactly prominently displayed, but 30+ years of being a lawyer have taught
me to always read the small print.
