I made a poof animation class which is initialized with a poof sequence like this one: <file:///System/Library/CoreServices/Dock.app/Contents/Resources/ poof.png>. I had also noticed the class you mention, but I preferred not to rely on private classes. You may want to increase the speed of the animation slightly, to closer mimic the real behaviour.

<http://ittpoi.com/poof.tgz> (the file will probably not stay up for very long. If someone reads this in the archives, and the file went missing, just drop me a note and ask me to send you the DRJaguarPoofAnimator class.

Hello,

For the self conscious application, what is the recommended way to generate one of those mandatory "poof" (e.g. when dragging something out of a toolbar)? There is a private NSToolbarPoofAnimator which is poofing around quiet nicely... is that it?

Thanks.

Cheers,

PA.
