making columns unselectable

I want to make a table column COMPLETELY unselectable, that means no
dragging, no header cell turning blue when you click it, etc. The same
effect as when you say no column selection. I can't figure out how to
do this. The best I can do is make it not selectable, but the
headercell still turns blue and it can still be dragged. Is there a
simple method to make just one column untouchable?
