QUESTION: Any thoughts about how best to determine what
is causing a 'root' process to quit when the User logs out?
I am looking for a 'read this logfile' - 'enable this verbose
setting' - 'run this tool before you logout' kind of answer
but will happily take any advise or comment!
BTW: same code does not have this problem when executed in 10.2.X
I did a comparison with the contents of the kinfo_proc struct
contents of both the process running under 10.1.5 and 10.2.4
and could see no differences. It must be some runtime issue
where 10.2 is more forgiving than 10.1.5 - but I really don't
know where to look. I stripped the process down to just
fork, exec and enter a CFRunLoopRun (with no notifications
registered) and it STILL dies as soon as I log-out.
Not sure which list to post to... please excuse dupes
Thanks,
Lance Drake
