You can create a .r file and declare your aete resource in Rez syntax.
If you want to use other working apps for examples, you can use
DeRez to turn compiled resources into Rez source.
.r files have the advantage of being compatible with source control that
is not resource-fork friendly such as Mac OS X cvs.
Under OS X Rez is in /Developer/Tools and documented with a man page
(man Rez).
Hope this helps,
Christopher

I'm looking for a OSX application that adds functionality similar to
EightyRes (classic app).
EightyRes allows you to create "aete" resources to make your apps that
are AE enabled, applescriptable. ResEdit also did this with OS9.
Resourcerer creates "aete" resources but it is $250. I need a less
expensive option.
I have "ResFool" but it is a beta version and not fully working yet.
Anyone have any ideas where I can find an app that does this?
