Is it yet time to pull out any of the Apple tools yet (Project Builder, etc.) or do I stick with the terminal while just learning C?

I would go ahead and use Project Builder. There is a project type called 'Standard Tool' that you can use for writing pure C programs.

Bingo. That's the key (at least for doing it with PB). I was just fiddling around with it and couldn't work it out.

Now thanks to you, I've just written my first C program! It prints something a little more interesting than "Hello World"... Instead it's "G'day mate!" (Hey I'm Australian).

I'm so excited. Brings a tear to the eye... I had to share it with you all!

Thanks Karl!

David.
