Not a bad idea!
If such groups existed in major metro areas, then beginners can start
there and the same beginner questions don't get repeated over and over.
I happen to be one of these newbees and I don't like to hold up the
advance SWE who are already in the stratosphere (I am still just taking
off). Other metro areas can start their own groups and those folks who
cannot make it to the O'Reilly conference will benefit when the
advanced SWE come back and give us the high lights.
