If it's not in /tmp, somewhere under my home directory, in the
application bundle, or where appropriate, in an application specific
directory under /Library, it ticks me off.
More to the point, if it's not under my home directory or in /tmp then
it doesn't get written on my system, 'cause the user I run as doesn't
have access to write stuff anywhere else. Applications should not
assume they can write to their own bundles. And if you want me to run
your installer as root/admin, you'd better give me a really good
reason...
