run your application in the debugger. When it crashes, the debugger
will show you where and why.

then trying to access it in some way would give that error for sure?
i haven't got a clue what's causing it. there's quite a lot of code
but all the alloc and init situations, which there aren't many of, are
tallied to releases and there are no extra releases.
can it be cause by not releasing something?
why sporadic? << that seems odd to me.
i don't know which part is causing the problem, and the whole thing is
too much code to post. suggestions? please :)
