Where's the green arrow-plus cursor?

Another day, another Cocoa weirdness. By putting NSFilenamesPboardType on the pasteboard, I'm able to get the Finder to add a "+" to the arrow cursor when I drag an image out of my app. Unfortunately, the arrow-plus cursor looks like a Carbon cursor: it's black & white & ugly. How do I get the nice, green arrow-plus cursor that iPhoto and the Finder use? I searched the archives, but the only info I found doesn't seem to apply anymore:
