All,
MacOSX has one feature missing when compared to GUIs on other platforms
which I consider to be a big omission on Apple's part (i.e. a very
useful function).
That is the ability to resize a window by it's edges and corners.
Although MacOSXs window control features are excellent it is still much
easier
and quicker to be able to drag a window edge out of the way in many
cases
rather than have to use window hiding or Expose or whatever (the mouse
is often
in close proximity to an edge or corner).
I have added an enhancement request to Apples bug tracker but since it
has been
sat in the enhancements list for at least six months with no action I
don't believe it is
likely to be adopted.
Perhaps any Apple engineers who read this list can ask for the feature
if they agree,
or enlighten us as to the possibility of it's inclusion or the reason
for it's exclusion?
Anyway in the meantime is there any way to add this functionality to a
Cocoa application?
Thanks,
Tim Mowlem
