Or, look into the NSPropertyListSerialization class.

Thanks, that did it. It'd sure be nice if there were examples of working document packages out there. It seems like all the example code (Apple's and in the Cocoa books) focuses on the simple case of a single file. Good brain work, anyways... :-)
