That's exactly what I'd like to do with my application. The problem is I've not found an efficient way to get hold of the original JPEG data if the users drag images to the NSImageView themselves, and the whole process becomes very convoluted when you have users dragging things like clippings or images from other sources. What I really need is a clean method get from an NSImage the data from which it was created.
