Image Capture Architecture...

Hi all,

I work for an Apple Solutions reseller, and have a client with a Kodak DCS 660 camera. It is recognized by Image Capture, and everything seems to work fine, except when you click download, it only seems to download the preview of what should actually be a 5 meg file. If i use iPhoto, it downloads the right files, however he wants to be able to use the "download some" feature of image capture.

I downloaded the Image Capture SDK, and there was a sample application called "Simple Download" which lets you select from a list of files a specific photo to download, however it does not have previews...

My question is this. How hard would it be to duplicate the functionality of Image Capture but make it work? How long / much would this likely cost? Is there a lot to it? (I'm not a programmer - as you can probably tell!)

If you want more info, email me please, or if you have some suggestions - same. This client is willing to pay for the software to be developed (the camera was a US $20,000 investment!).

Thanks all,

John Cleary
