I better add that I know about dot file (prefix '.')

I got those, but there are other folders that are invisible like 501 (user id), Software Update Cache, TheVolumeSettingsFolder that have somehow been marked as invisible.

And these aren't in /.hidden

I'm pretty sure that in UNIX invisible files are in directories that start with ".".. maybe files that start with "." are invisible too.

Might want to wait for a second opinion, however.
