How come you can't do that? Am I missing something obvious?

My pipe to the helper tool is working thanks to your help and tips.

Now I have a new question. I use NSArchiver to create NSData which
I send to the tool. Since I send different archived objects I would like to
know the easiest method to determine the object type return by
NSUnarchiver within my helper tool. Is [object className] the right
way to do so?
