Open source suggestions.

I don't know if this is the correct place for this, but I guess its worth discussion. I have a few ideas for larger open source projects in Cocoa, so I was wondering if there is any place for finding groups to work with. It seems there a lot of independent cocoa developers releasing freeware, and I think if people pooled their resources we may be able to put out some quality software.

Just for the sake of it, I'll give a suggestion that I've thinking about, but probably couldn't do alone. I've been playing with the windows program "Fruity Loops", which allows you to produce music beats, basically letting you play back sampled sounds at various frequencies interleaved with each other. Its pretty nice software, and you can make decent sounding beats. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find anything similar for OS X or X11. This seems like a project that wouldn't take much expertise, just a matter of getting a bunch of included samples, and knowing how to play lots of sounds at the same time. I guess if no better place exists and anyone is interested in this project (or for that matter knows of a program that does that), let me know. _______________________________________________
